500 - An error has occurred on file/image upload

When I click the file or icon buttons when adding a file I get the following error:
500 - An error has occurred.
View not found [name, type, prefix]: phocadownloadmanager,html,phocadownloadcpView
I've not put in any downloads for a while, but last time I did it was working. I uploaded files into the downloads and images folders via ftp. Could this of broken it?
The download folder is 777, as are the sub folders. I've not bene through the file permissions, should this be 777 too?
I really appreciate any help on this issue. I've used phoca download in a joomla installation for my dissertation, and it would be nice if it could all be working before I demo it
