Staggered thumbnails, like in demo

OK, I give up. How do I get my thumbnails to stagger the way they do in your demo for Joomla3? I get the thumbnails at different sizes, which I like, but the baselines of the rows are now allowing them to close the gaps.

I can't read most of what is posted there, but I got it to work beautifully. I have one more question. It appears the effect pulls from medium and large thumbnails. What thumbnail sizes do I need to use to get the sizes shown in the top demo?

Hi, in the demo, there are used following sizes:
Small: 112 x 75
Medium: 224 x 150
Jan
