I have looked and looked and can not find a setting for limiting the number of categories that appear on a page. I have an album with too many categories in one main category. Is there a way to have them span to "next page"? Just like the image pagenation does?

Hi, this is planned, now you can do a tree of categories, so e.g. only main categories will be displayed in the categories view, and subcategories will be displayed in category view, where the pagination is working...

Hello Jan, How can this be achieved? Please a little more information.

If you will make tree of categories, e.g.

First
- subfirst1
- subfirst2
- subfirst3
Second
- subsecond1
- subsecond2
Third
- subthird1
- subthird2
- subthird3
- subthird4

Only first level categories will be displayed in the categories view, it means:
- First
- Second
- Third

Yes, this is fine. Say within the First I have subfirst 1, subfirst2, and so on...until subfrst 200. The when we click at the First, which takes us to the subfirst1, subfirst2, etc, then there is no way to control how many subfirst will be shown. Am I wrong, I tried very hard but not successful.

Yes there is because you are going from categories view (where still no pagination is) to category view (where there is pagination)

i have the same question,subcategories will be displayed in category view! but the pagination indeed isn't woking.
the paginations only work to images ,not subcategories

Hi, in Phoca Gallery 2.5.0 Alfa, there is a pagination for Categories view.
But it is not possible to do two paginations on one site - in category view - one for subcategories, one for images, so the categories and subcategories needs to be added into tree, so no pagination needs to be used.
