If you have your settings setup with the following below:
the ratings still show up in the catagories layout.

I have ratings turned off but they are still displayed

I also have the back button turned off but if u open a album, the back button is displayed

i have global ratings set to NO and i have the menu link ratings settings set to NO too.

Hi, now I see, if you mean the rating in Categories view, this needs to be customized, so the code should be changed

components\com_phocagallery\views\categories\tmpl\default.php
