Multiple image upload not working

When I try upload multiple images (around 80 or less at a time) onto Phoca Gallery you can see the upload happening on the status bar but after it has 'uploaded' it doesn't display any images and doesn't proceed to thumbnail creation anymore. It used to work but has just stopped all of a sudden.
