Found another problem (beside the wrong filesize with large files >2GB). These large files can not be downloaded with IE (message: Download complete within a second, downloaded filesize 0B). With Firefox no problem.

Any solution?

Hi, this seems like this is not a limit restriction on the server Are you able to download them in standard browsers like Chrome and Opera.

If this is possible, I think, then this is a question on IE developers, if there is no settings which somehow limits the download

Hi Jan,

It works with Chrome, didn't test Opera. Made a normal link in Joomla to the file and try to download it with IE. Works fine then. So it looks like a problem with Phoca Download.

Hi, "made a normal link" - did you mean the direct link? Direct link is different to standard downloads - you can test to enable direct link in Phoca Download too, just test it.

With normal link I mean a link made with the joomla editor (<a href...). That works. Within Phoca Download (with direct link enabled or disabled) not.

Hi, the direct link is in fact a link outside Phoca Download - it is the same situation like when you add the direct link to url bar. When you add it (copy the direct link), which is the situation?

It works in every possible way I try EXCEPT with Phoca Download.

But the problem is when you set direct link, it has nothing to do with Phoca Download - direct link is direct link to the file - it goes from visitor directly to your website server location - and there in no Phoca Download function except it displays the direct link to visitor So if the direct link does not work, it has nothing to do with Phoca Download

To be sure that I set the direct link right... how do I set it?

Hi, in file edit, when you edit the file, at the bottom, tick the checkbox: "direct link"
