Hello,
I use Phoca gallery on my website gerardmer-location.fr. My host is OVH. Php version is 5.3.29 and Phoca gallery works very well.
My host asked me to pass php 5.5.21 release. With this version of php, Phoca gallery can not view the photos.
Can you help me?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

My Joomla version 5.2.28
Phoca Gallery version is: 3.2.8
Here is the email received OVH
With the aim of improving and securing OVH services, we inform our customers about giving up old versions of PHP, qui are not
maintained any more by the editor.

It actually concerns PHP versions 4, 5.3 and inferiors.

It's possible, than, in the future, we have to stop allow these old ones. So, we recommand you to watch the regular update of
your pages.

If your website uses an obsolete version of of PHP, an e-mail Will Be feels to you with details.

To help you in the check of your PHP configuration, and update if Necessary, a guide is available:
ovh.co.uk/g1207.php-configuration-web-hosting-2014

To upgrade from Version 5.3 to 5.5 php, OVH asked me to put in the root of my site .ovhconfig the file with the following code, which replaces the .htaccess file.
app.engine = php
app.engine.version = 5.5
http.firewall = none
## environment = production
environment =development
the "environment" parameter with the "development" value allows me to visualize errors.
Here is the link that displays many errors on the page
http://www.gerardmer-location.fr/index.php/le-sejour

Thank you in advance for the help you can give me.

best regard

Pierre

Hello,
I just put the .ovhconfig file on my site. The version is thus 5.5.
By clicking on the link in my previous post, you will see the errors that occur when they do not exist with version 5.3 php.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best Regards,
Pierre

Hello,

Thank you for the interest you have shown in quev my request.

With the link to the post above, you actually arrive on a page that shows no error.
The error occurs when clicking on one of the thumbnails.
With the old version of php, click on a thumbnail image displayed the same big picture. With version 5.5 or 5.6 php, click on the miniature picture displays a random page text ...
I do not understand why! I count on you to get a solution to this dysfunction.
Best regard

I solved the anomaly of image display. This comes from the Joomla settings.
I had the SEO Settings 'Search Engine Friendly URLs' to YES. With version 5.4 php, this was not a problem.

With versions 5.5 or 5.6 php, I changed the setting to NO.
The image display is performed correctly with a click on the thumbnail image. :twisted:

I wish you good luck with your component.

Pierre
