Images for Registered / non registered users

Without having to create a whole new category with extra pictures for registered users, is there a way where "public" users see pics 1,2,3,4,5 and "Registered" users can see pics 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 within the same category?

Hi, no, you can set the images to two categories - one for public second for private.
Just imagine, you will list e.g. 20 images on the site (some people list over 100) and every image needs to check access rights - in such case, your site will load very slowly
This is why the permissions is applied to categories.
