OK, I guess the Gallery is not updated with Joomla then so not a good idea to use.
Thank you Benno.

Hi, no, you understand it not correctly.

Phoca Gallery was completely overwritten for Joomla! 3 CMS so it is native component for Joomla! 3 (no bridges, no obsolete code, directly written for Joomla! 3 which means, the obsolete code does not make it heavy)

Themes - first the priority is to overwrite the components to work in newest Joomla!, making themes has lower priority and there is other point - All obsolete themes was built e.g. some years ago and the internet changed a lot, so design moves from images (as backgrounds) to CSS3 and in fact there is better feature to customize the gallery, per CSS which you can load in Phoca Gallery administration and which is new way of changing the layout of gallery (new and better way, mostly regarding the memory and traffic)

I will prepare some themes in the feature but they will no include background images more but they will include specific CSS and it will still be obsolete way to change the layout.

So in fact it is reverse. Phoca Gallery was overwritten to have newest features and was written for newest Joomla! (and obsolete features do not have the highest priority, this is why there is no theme for Phoca Gallery 4 - I will add some but first because of my time issues, I need to care about newest features, newest techniques and newest plugins and modules)
