WhY if I choose in PhocaGalleryOptions - Detail View - Highslide JS (Image Only), the square images preview are elongated ??

I think, because you display the original images not the square created large thumbnails.
Check: backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Detail View -->
Highslide JS Full Image=(Should be set to:)No
