Phoca Gallery Timeout: unable to load new Images
Posted: 02 Jun 2014, 14:39
Hi Guys,
I am trying to load new images in Phoca Gallery, but I am unable to do so.
When pushing the Images (afbeeldingen, since I am using a dutch version) button in Phoca Gally control panel (components/phoca Gallery/Control Panel), it takes a very long time and eventually I am getting a blank screen.
According to the technical support from my hoster I have a timeout issue, I quote:
"The issue is that your Gallery is trying to list out all the image files inside the folder
xxxx/httpd.www/images/phocagallery
and this folder contains more than 23K image files which causes a timeout while loading.
You will need to lower the files significantly or try to list the files based on sub directories."
Actually those files are already in subdirectories. it is 23K in total but already spread over a lot of subdirectories.
Since the beginning we are having issues with uploading Images, which is extremely slow. But now it became impossible...
Could you guys provide any help? Why is it trying to get all these files, is there another way to handle this?
I am using version 3.2.3
Kind regards,
luc
