Deleting category

Hello,

I needed to delete a category in phoca gallery 'cos I've uploaded wrong images to it.
Found the category in media manager, deleted all the images in it, deleted all the images in the thumbs folder, too, but deleted the thumbs folder
too (unluckily). The pictures on the websites do not display now, but:

1) the folder on the website does display (where the wrong images were). How can I get rid of the folder from the website ?
2) eventhough the category has been successfully deleted in media manager, it DOES display in categories overview and can not be deleted,
saying there are images in it, while there is nothing. Is this why it shows on the website ? Are the images hidden anywehere else ?
2) I can not upload any new images to a newly created category now, does this have to do with the deletion of the thumbs folder in the previous
category ? When I now go to media manager and see the newly created category, it does not have the thumbs subfolder in it as the others.
how can I add the thumbs folder again ? Can it be manually added ?

Thank you very much.

Hi, Phoca Gallery has independent database and file system layer - to delete the category in Phoca Gallery, go to Phoca Gallery administration and delete the category - the same with images (database layer) - to remove the folders on your server, you need to do in media manager (the same with images located on server and their thumbnails)

There is no dependency between uploading images and deleted images/categories

So always delete category or image first in administration, then if you want to delete it from your server, go to media manager or to FTP
