Hi,

I have Phoca Gallery version 3.2.7 on my Joomla 2.5.19 sites. How can I change the photo sizes after uploading into Phoca Gallery?

I uploaded a lot of photos and setup my categories in Phoca Gallery. I want to change the photo sizes in the Phoca settings:
Phoca Gallery > Options > Main > Images And Detail Window Size Settings

The tooltip when I mouseover those image settings has a warning like "Be aware change sizes BEFORE uploading into Phoca Gallery..."

Can I change the photo sizes in these Phoca settings to larger dimensions after I have already uploaded and setup the Phoca Galleries?

What about the full size images that display on the Details View pages? Since I already uploaded the photos and setup all my Phoca galleries, would the following steps work without creating problems:

1) Change the photo sizes (thumbnails and full size image dimensions) in the Phoca settings: Phoca Gallery > Options > Main > Images And Detail Window Size Settings
What I'm not clear about is why the tooltip when I mouseover those image settings has a warning like "Be aware change sizes BEFORE uploading into Phoca Gallery..."

2) Then after resizing the image dimensions in the Images And Detail Window Size Settings screen, then I would use the "recreate thumbnail" icon in the Images screen of the Phoca Control Panel.

Will this process work and not corrupt the photo files or Phoca Galleries?

Hi,

original images are not changed by Phoca Gallery, if you upload some image, thumbnails are made from this image, but the original image will stay untouched (because original images are used for different features)

Images in detail window are large thumbnails (with some methods like Highslide JS is, original images can be displayed too) - their size can be set in Options - the same for detail window (but only if this is an iframe method: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca/ ... al-advices (8) - not sure what you mean with warning message, but you should set the size of thumbnails, then upload the images, so the right size will be set for thumbnails.

2) Recreate thumbnails function is used when you change the size of the thumbnails (so the thumbnails need to be newly created). When the images (thumbnails) are on your server and you want to have other size of such thumbnails, you need to recreate it.
