Can't Edit CSS - Error 160

Hi there
First of all, I really want to thank you for this great component and giving it away for free!
But I encountered some problem, i hope you can help me. Installation, creating of categories, section etc worked fine for me. File uploading too.
But now I want to style the component via the CSS - this is, where the problem comes in. Afer editing the CSS, I am not able to upload it again to the CSS folder ... It says something like error 160 - permission denied.
After searching the web for this problem i believe its because of the different rights. Uploading it via Joomla gives the folder/files different WebUser rights, than via ftp. And I am not able to change the rights via FTP to FTP ...

I hope you understood my problem and give a helping hand. Thanks a lot.

Hi, I understand but have no idea how to solve it because it depends on your server...

1. you should use ftp, there should not be any problem with saving files, if yes
2. try to change permissions of the folder where you want to save the files, if you cannot
3. you should ask your server provider for ownership of files and folders, because maybe you cannot change them because of wrong ownership...

Ok, it would be no problem to se ftp. But is it possible to install phoca download via ftp and not the backend?
Because i think that is the problem. All the other folder in that directory I can easily change or edit the rights ...

#edit:
I loaded an extension called joomlaXplorer. It only works in legacy mode, but with it, you can give the folder the right chmod rights. Now it seems, like it will work. Will try that tomorrow.
