linking problems

Hi fellow users

I am having some linking problems which are really starting to give me grey hair.

When opening an image en detail view, I want a link in the description which links to the relevant article. But I cannot get this linking to work properly.

Option 1: I use JCE option to link to site content. This does link to the right article, but it shows up all wrong (lacking some modules and with extra headlines etc.)
apieceofnature.eu/index.php/galleri/125-galleri-koedeadende-planter (press 1. image and the link in description)

Option 2: I write the actual url as a link with copy paste – this creates a 404 error. (Somehow /index.php/galleri is wrongly added to the url code which gives the 404).
apieceofnature.eu/index.php/galleri/125-galleri-koedeadende-planter (press 2. image and the link in description)

I am not sure where the problem is. I have another site which works perfectly.

Using joomla 2.5 with newest versions of Joomla, jce and phoca.

All help is greatly appreciated

Hi, for me, both links are working OK.

Anyway if you are pasting the link to your description/article, the best way is directly change the html. If you have copied the link from working URL and pasted to the editor and it does not work, then you need to check settings of your editor.

Hi Jan
Thanks for looking at this.

Are you sure you have pressed the right links? They still dont work for me - it is not the links I have given in post, but the internal links on the site which i link to.

First link is called "Byblis liniflora" (comes up when 1. image in the gallery is opened) - links to correct but wrong looking article
Second link is called "Dionaea muscipula extra large" (comes up when 2. image in the gallery is opened) - gives 404 error

I use JCE editor and there is no problem making links other places on site. Just in phoca it gives problems.

Thanks

/Martin

Aha, now I know what you mean, try to disable SEF so you will see if the link is correctly set, the link is:
http://www.apieceofnature.eu/index.php/ ... xtra-large

in the popup but if I access it in browser URL, it does not work either, so the link is wrong but there is no feature in Phoca Gallery which can change the link in description so this can be done only in editor or the link was wrongly added  for now really no idea what other feature can change the link ... Anyway, in the link is th egallery word, maybe this is a part which is wrong if you link to articles?

Disabling SEF makes the whole site look funny and the links, linking to something completely wrong (although not creating a 404 error).

Yes the words "/index.php/galleri" is wrongly added to the link automatically (no idea how to counteract this). But as said it is only when linking inside an image description in the phoca gallery? Other places on the site it works fine. But maybe it is not a phoca issue. I will also try and post it elsewhere.

Thanks again.

Hi, as written, Phoca Gallery does not have any tool how to influence the link inside description - description is saved with help of editor and can be changed with help of system plugin or content plugin (if enabled) but Phoca Gallery cannot change it somehow

Ok. I just thought that maybe I hat overlooked something because it only happens in the phoca gallery. I will try and see elsewhere if somebody has a clue how to solve this.
No matter what – thanks for a great extension.
