huge gallery issue

hello,
I have a problem with a huge gallery (about 40 000 photos in about 400 categories). I had to migrate it to different server, because of the sever disk quota (/phocagallery dir takes about 12GB) and a problem with adding new files. When you add new image, you choose "images" from "control panel" and this operations can last for 5 minutes. I see, that the most cpu-taking operation is checking if file exist from jFile::exists - i suppose, phoca is checking all the files if there exist. Even when I switch thumbnail creation to "No" - this page ("images") loads in about a minute. Is there any way to disable this checking, or make it faster?
Is there any plan to do a S3 Amazon support to PhocaGallery? (now, phoca is searching for files in /images/phocagallery/ - can I ask it to search in remote location? - amazon cloud)
regards

also there is an error:

Fatal error : Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 42 bytes) in /MY_SERVER_ROOT_PATH/libraries/joomla/database/driver/mysql.php on line 425

what sql query from phoca can exhaust memory in such scale? How to turn it off?

Hi, set the gallery options to recommended (e.g. the pagination thumbnail creation) - see the info part in Phoca Gallery administration.

And see similar posts (about how images are loaded - no problems with amount as pagination used, categories - possible problems because all categories needs to be loaded - because of the tree - but all is explained in similar posts)
