404 error - components not found

(excuse me for my bad English)

Hi,
I installed today Phoca Gallery and I have thi s problem: when I try to open a category from the site, I have the following kind of error:

404 - Componente non trovato
Non è possibile visualizzare questa pagina a causa di:
1. un bookmark/preferiti scaduto
2. una ricerca attraverso il motore di ricerca che ha una lista scaduta per questo sito
3. un indirizzo compilato male
4. Non hai accesso a questa pagina
5. La risorsa richiesta non esiste
6. Si è verificato un errore durante l'esecuzione della tua richiesta.
Prova una delle seguenti pagine:
• Home Page
Se persistono delle difficoltà, contatta l'Amministratore di questo sito.
Componente non trovato

If I see in the aruba webpage the list of the errors I can find:


Thu Nov 13 15:27:04 2008] [error] [client xx.xx.xx.x] File does not exist: /web/htdocs/www.namesite.it/home/foto, referer: http://www.namesite.it/index.php/foto/category/1.html

You can see the problem going to the menù FOTO inside to the website www.noikavaz.it

Hi,

Do you have a SEF component installed? Does it work ok if you disable this component?
Is the category open for public visitors?

Hi Carolien and thanks for your reply,
in effect I have disabled the SEO (Friendly URL per i motori di ricerca like google, etc) and now Phoca gallery work ok. :|
But... what can I do if I want to get enable the SEO and use the Phoca gallery too? Is it possible? :idea:

It should work with the standard SEF in Joomla! (global configuration settings).

Could you clarify if you used that standard SEF in Joomla or if you used another SEF/SEO component like sh404sef?

I never installed differen component for SEF/SEO... so I think I'm using the standard one...
