Putting an images into a slideshow results in Error 500

Hi,
I'm trying to make a module to show a slideshow. The site is using Joomla 1.5 (however is on a list to be upgraded). The Phoca Gallerie version is 2.6.2 and the slideshow module is mod_phocagallery_image_v2.7.5
When I publish an image from the catagory, it causes just the page to go down, not the entire site.
Does anybody have an idea how to resolve this issue?
