Phoca Gallery Joomfish Transaltions

Is there a translation for the newest version of Joomfish coming so we can translate categories? If not is there a workaround?

Joomla 2.5.9
I have a large amount of images and a large amount of categories, I want to translate the categories without having to re-import all of the images. Is this possible or what is the best way to do it?
Also I want to disable the filename in the detail view in shadowbox

Hi, for now I don't have any experiences of Joom!fish in Joomla! 2.x so there is the core multilanguage feature and for this you need to do new items (not original images but items for images and categories).

Could you clarify what you mean by this? I'm a little confused. What are items? The only Items I know of in Joomla are menu items.

Items means (for multilanguage feature of Joomla!):
Images - new images
Categories - new categories
etc.
Example:
First Image (ID = 1) is the same image like Second Image (ID = 2) but both have different language - so they are different items (so this is the Joomla! multilanguage feature and like you have written, for this you need to do the items (images, categories) e.g. twice if you want to translate them)
