Hi,
I have a page with thumbnails of photos. On that page with multiple thumbnails I want to show just a short name of the photo, not a long description. When you click on the photo, you get a pop-up and in this pop-up I want to show detailed description of the image. So only if you are interested in particular photo, you get the long text.

I figured out how to do that, but I run into a limitation.
On the picture setup I switch the content of fields Title (Jméno) and Description (Popis) of the photo. I have short text in Description and longer text in Title field.

The first photo on this side has too long text in the title = only about 80 characters are shown in the popup window, even though more fit in the Title field of the photo in the Picture setup of Phoca Gallery.

Can I change this limitation in Title length, either in setup or in a code? To lets say 250 characters?

I use PhocaGallery 2.8.1.

Hi, in Options you can se the lenght for the title.
Number Of Characters In Name - Number of characters which will be displayed in name (Image name in Category View in frontend)

Hi Jan,
thanks for quick reply.
I changed that field to 300 (in Czech backend Počet znaků názvu obrázku = 300).
But the length in the pop-up picture is still the same = around 80 characters. I tried to regenerate thumbnail for that specific picture with long title but that didnt help.
Thats why I thought it might be limited somewhere in the code - that it shows less in the popup than what fits in the picture Title field itself?

Hmmm, in detail there is no shortening for the title? so really no idea why it is cut there. Is this happening in all different detail methods (e.g. in modal box?)

Doufam ze nevadi, kdyz budu psat cesky, mam backend joomla/phoca gallery v cestine.

Chtela jsem vyzkouset co jsi psal, ale kdyz v Parametrech zmenim Modal popup box na cokoliv jineho (Highslide JS, bez popup okna), tak se mi zobrazeni na strance nezmeni - po kliknuti na obrazek to vypada porad stejne jako by vubec zmenu nebral na vedomi). Dala jsem pak i obnovit miniatury, ale zadna zmena se neprojevila. Jak ho donutim vzit zmenu na vedomi

Jinak, v nastaveni samotneho obrazku mam:
Jmeno: "On the boundary of troposphere and the stratosphere forms this Cumulonimbus cloud with an "incus" top. Incus means anvil in Latin, and it is formed when the cumulonimbus encounters area of temperature inversion, and is forced to spread horizontally."

Primo v galerii se popisek pod obrazkem zobrazuje cely. Jediny problem je v omezeni delky v pop-upu - po kliknuti na obrazek se v modal boxu objevuje jen cast:
"On the boundary of troposphere and the stratosphere forms this Cumulonimbus cloud with an" zbytek je ustrizeny.

Nejaky napad proc ten modal popup nejde zmenit nebo co omezuje delku popisku?

1) parametry, je možný, že globální parametry jsou přepsány parametry z menu odkazu, viz.: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... -in-joomla

2) popis - záleží na použité metodě zobrazení detailního okna, např. ten co tam je teď, tuším slimbox to neumožňuje, takže buď přímo editovat nějak javascript tyto metody, nebo ji změnit na jinou, např modal box, atd.

tak bod jedna vyresil oboje
mela jsem v menu nastaveny modal box a v proto se mi to nemenilo at jsem v parametrech phoca gallery nastavovala cokoliv. Takze jsem si vsude v menu parametrech dala Pouzit globalni a pak uz mi to slo menit. Na to co jsem chtela je nejlepsi JAK Lightbox, u ktereho jde nastavit zobrazovat titulek i popisek,takze uz jsem nemusela nic prohazovat.
