Hello,
I have a very strange behavior with images:
Problem 1: In the backend, in a particular category the images dissapeared, however, on the fromt end I see those images.
Problem 2: In the back and formt end, I see some images that belomg to other categories.
Problem 3: In a category, in the formt end I se only part of the images, and not all of them, that you do see in the back end.
Please help. I do not fins a reasonable pattern for this behavior

.
Thanks a lot

Hi Jan,
a) Well, it was my mistake. I did not pay attention to the "pagination default value", now that is OK, but maybe will be advisable a "More" button on the page, so the user can now that there are more pictures in that album .
b) Jan, maybe the problem was this.. maybe I am making a mistake doing multiple image uploads. When I choose to add, lets say 10 images, those images are added to all the images uploaded before. How can I "clean" the list of the previous uploaded images, before start a new upload?
Thanks

b) It is not list o previous uploaded images, this are your image files on your server, you can add them to the folders to get well aranged view in the files list.. This list doesn't havy any influence on frontend...

Hi Jan,
a) I understand that in the "Phoca Gallery Images", you have ALL your images, with their Title, file name and thumbnail. This is perfect, because I can filter the images by category, move an image to other category, etc.,.. well, you know all of this, because you designed it.
b) Now Jan, I want to talk about the "Phoca Gallery: [ Multiple Add ]" page. When I press the Multiple add button, I see hundreds of the "file names" only, like this: dsc00232.jpg, that I do not know what it is about. If I browse some other files I want to add, and upload them, the receantly uploaded files are mixed (ordered) among the other already in this list. In this moment Jan, I only see a list of hundreds of file names like these below. I can not guess I just uploaded in order to file in a folder. I am very confused here Jan. Please help.
How can I knw which are, lets say, the three files a just uploaded and want to move to a specific category?
dsc00001.jpg
dsc0005.jpg
dsc00231.jpg
dsc00232.jpg
dsc00233.jpg
dsc00234.jpg
dsc00235.jpg
dsc00236.jpg
dsc00239.jpg
dsc00241.jpg
dsc00286.jpg
dsc00289.jpg
dsc00298.jpg
dsc00314.jpg
dsc00322.jpg
dsc00329.jpg
dsc00330.jpg
dsc00500.jpg
Thanks

Hi Jan,
Please ignore my previous post. I think I start to understand your design, after reading other posts.
Please help me now answering these questions:
Let's talk about the Phoca Gallery: [ Multiple Add ] page:
1) Can you rename a folder? how?
2) Can you move image files from the root or a folder to other folder? how?
3) Can you completely delete image files? how?
4) Can you delete empty folders? how?
5) Can a folder have subfolders? how?
Thanks a lot Jan.
Regards

Hi,
1) via FTP, maybe via media manager ?
2) -||-
3) -||-, Phoca Gallery creates thumbnails, so if you delete the filename in image list, all 3 thumbnails will be deleted, but no original files (because there are a lot of methods you can upload images to your server - ftp, media manager, so Phoca will not remove itmes which it didn't made
4) -||-
5) yes, just go to the folder, click on it and create new folder....
maybe it is good to know that multiple add is not a file manager, you can create folder but this is all, all other "files" action should be done with media manager or ftp or other file manager... the main function of multiple add is adding the filenames (files on your server) to the database - from folders to categories, from files in folders to filenames in categories...
