I am doing something wrong I think when uploading multiple images.
I have added 6 categories – horses, dogs, kids etc and then I go through these steps.
1. Select Images,
2. multiple add
3. then in Select Images box at the bottom I click Add Images to open Windows Explorer
4. and select 10 images I want to add.
5. Then I click start upload.
After uploading they appear in the box above the Select Images box.
6. I then select the category I want these images to be allocated to
7. and click Save & Close to create thumbnails and allocate to my category.
Ok so far so good.
Then I want to upload another set of 10 images to another category.
I follow the same procedure as above. But after doing step 5 the new images are added to all the other images I uploaded in first category.

I now have 20 images in the middle box. Is this correct? If I select a category and Save & Close now all the 20 images will be allocated to this category which is wrong.

What step have I missed? I have read the manual so many times I think I have got confused.

I resolved the issue by using FTP to upload to categories.
So all good now.

But I have another issue for which I will raise another post
