Phoca performance

Hi,
I'm using phoca for my wallpaper site, but unfortunately the performace of admin backend is very poor.

What's wrong:
if you accidentaly pick to display all images in image list => cause php timeout / browser crash / (hosting is not happy either) with thousands of images => it would be nice to have an option to switch off the damn thumbnails in admin (it is hell slow while the site is not on localhost but hosted somewhere in another country). It is very diffult to set back the previous settings because of the crashes etc. Making the interface adjustable would help the issue (option to turn of thumbs, option to turn off the thumbnail icons = rotation, recreation etc.).

The best would be to have an option to change the Display Num parameter outside gallery (so there is no need to wait until the page is loaded if this happens).

Do you think it would be possible to modify it?
Or (better) could you tell me where in the code can be this function deleted (i don't need thumbs in admin at all).
Or (even better ) if the option to turn them off is already in phoca 1.x, then tell me where :x.

Thanks for you effort

I just realized why I hate this issue => Opera remembers or ignores (I cant find out coz I cant switch back) the settings so it displays all images. No prob in IE though, it works fine there.
