User Upload Layout missing

Hello,
I'm moving my first steps using Joomla with Your gallery component I found very interesting, easy to use, a full of features.
So, first of all, thanks.

On my website there are many users but only one is in charge of managing the gallery and all it's categories/subcategories and he must do it from frontend.
If I understood correctly, a "User Upload Layout" should be created as a menu line in order to get this option.
Unofortunately, and I don't know why being not an expert, I cant' found this option available under "Phoca gallery".
I can choose only between:

Phoca Gallery
- All Categories
-- Phoca Gallery Category List Layout
- Category
--Phoca Gallery Category Layout
- Cooliris 3D Wall
--Cooliris 3D Wall Layout
- User Control Panel
-- Phoca Gallery User Control Panel Layout

I'm using Joomla 1.5 and Phoca 2.8.1.
I've already read this pages but found that:
- the first leads me to the missing menu choice (https://www.phoca.cz/documents/17-phoca- ... n-frontend)
- the last is not exactly what I need (https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... ser-rights).

I also read this on the forum but I don't think it's ther right way as I don't face installation or code errors (viewtopic.php?f=31&t=19950).

So... what's wrong?
Thank You in advance for Your time.
Claudio

Hi, users can upload in category view or in UCP - User Control Panel.

Thank You very much for Your kind answer.
I didn't undestood why the layout is missing, but following the link You provided (and that I didn't read) I could enable the upload from inside each category.
Thanks again.
Cheers,

EDIT: I laughed too soon. Now the upload interface shows in frontend, but when I try to upload a picture, the process seems to work, but then I return to the same page (category view) but nothing happened. No errors shown. I'll try to investigate using the forum, in the meanwhile every hint is welcome.

Hi, what you mean with "nothing happened"? Some error message? White page?

I can choose the file bowsing from my computer.
I can enter a title and a descripion.
(btw, it's strange that if I choose a file, the file name is shown beside the "browse button", but as soon as I enter the first letter in the title field, the file name disappears).
Then when I press "start upload"an animated "loading image" appears and then the page refreshes returning to the same as before, the the same upload module with empy fields.
On top there's a message "User folder not defined" (sorry if translation is not perfect I read it in another language and presume this is the sentence).

Let me say that, unlikely the usage I undestood for the user control panel, I need that at least 1 users could upload images everywhere in the gallery and not only in a certain "user folder".
Thank You again.

Hi, if the main category was not created in UCP, but in administration - then the category needs to have information where to store images on the disc, go to administration, click on category edit and select folder where the images should be stored.¨
