login needed to see Picasa picture

I have a small problem:
Imported a bunch of pictures form Picasa into a separate album. Available for all.
Works fine, and with
{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=12|bordercolor=#ffffff|bordercolorhover=#0072c6|imageshadow=shadow1} I see all the thumbnails.
However: clicking on an image will open a new window, not with the picture but with a login screen. I need to login to the site before I can see the full picture!!

On another page I use exactly the same statement to show pictures in categoryid=9 . Those pictures are uploaded to the site, not imported from Picasa. Those pictures are shown when clicking on the thumbnail, login not needed!

Both categories are public, so I don't understand that I have to login to see pictures imported from Picasa

Some additional info:

I did find out that the login is only needed when I choose the Standard Popup WIndow or Modal Box for the detailed view.
When I choose Shadowbox, Highslide or JAK Lightbox the slideshow starts without the need to login!
Strange behavior.
In all cases the DOnwload-button won't work: it will ask to login (if not already logged in) before the picture can be downloaded.

Any ideas where I have to look for the solution for this problem?

Hi, which version of Phoca Gallery component and plugin you are using?
