Thumbnail creation how I make it faster

Hi,

I have been using phoca gallery over one and half year. Everything seems very cool on the script.

My problem is I have really huge gallery (140 000+) photographs. 45 000 photographs are already in Gallery And we are adding 800 every week.

First of all thumbnail creation process is really very slow. I am at Xeon 16 gbb ecc ram dedicated.
While we are adding the images weekly we can handle this.

However I am start to add old archieve which is 16 000 photographs for 2010. But I saw on my own machine that
one image thumbnail creating takes 1 minutes 40 seconds (I am on 32 gb ram Intel 3820 cpu) and it is not less on my dedicated server. ı also saw on my own machine that there is no cpu load or ram load.

I want to know that if there is any way (increasing max memory limit.. etc) to make faster thumbnail process.

I prepared 2010 photographs in3 days, I upload them as one file in couple of hours. But when I start to making thumbnails.
It will took 20 days 7/24

Thanks

Hi, you can use pagination thumbnails creating, so Phoca will not search for all images but only for them which are loaded on the site.
