Trouble with Description Display in all options

No matter what I set the "Detail View Settings" to, the popup cuts off the description. I've tried removing the buttons, changing sizes, different "Detail Windows" nothing works right. I prefer to use the "Modal Popup Box", it looks the best. I currently have the description set to "show" and the buttons on. Live link below. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have modified my parameters to display categories in 4 columns. After saving and clearing browser cache, and refreshing, it will still only display categories list in 1 column.
I need the 4 columns. Can anyone help?

We have followed the instructions and visited the Menu item. Everything is set to Global. Our changes are being controlled completely thru the Global Configuration. We switched some of your suggested items within the menu, instead of helping all it did was remove the description from our images completely. Now we can't get them back on.

Hi,
mod note: I merged the posts so it is logical to read for all visitors
for changing number of columns you have to go to your menu item to component parameters and change the 'number' in the setting number of columns. (categories view settings). You'll notice this setting is still set to the original and not the same as the global settings (there is no setting 'use global').
If you've changed this and it didn't show up, it could be because of the width set in your template...
For the height of the 'front modal box' you neither do have a 'use global' setting in the component parameters of your menu item. So this one you also have to set in your menu item.
