Filter: "Words" vs. "Whole Words"

Hi,

I have read the manual and looked into the forum, but haven't found any explanation as to what seems to be the difference between those two filters: "word" vs. "whole word". What's the difference anyway between a word and a whole word?

I have two theories:

(a) By "whole word" you mean a phrase. e.g. "go to hell". If so, how do I have to enter these phrases -- with quotes, like I did here? And separated by comma, e.g. "I am bad","so are you"?

(b) "word filter" will filter _partial_ strings in word, e.g. when the word filter contains "and", Phoca Guestbook will filter the words "and", "andante" and "mandate". Is that correct? And opposed to "word filter", the "whole word filter" will only filter the exact match of my filter words, in this case only the word "and" (but not "andante" or "mandate").

Which theory is the correct one? Or is there a third?

Thanks,
TheWizzy
