Hello,

I've been banging my head against the wall for a couple of hours, I've came up with some ideas, but it seems that it's not possible at this time.

I've included a picture to better explain what I want

Basically I would like to split page in two sections
First area displays subcategories of category1
Second area displays sucategories of category2

I was looking at phoca gallery module, but if I understand this correctly, module can only display contents of category , it can't display subcategories ?

Hi, I think for this you need to customize component in code.
