Joomla 1.5.7 (Dutch) + PhocaDownload 1.0.4
I uploaded the dutch language files for phocadownload into the language folder (/administrator/components/phocadownload/language/nl-NL
But it doesn't work, in frontend the text Most downloaded files stays there. What can be the problem.
Many thanks
Hans

Do you have enabled the dutch language for the frontend in Joomla!

try to enable language debug in global configuration of joomla and you will see if the translation is missed (e.g. wrong link to translation file, no translation file) or if it is here (in this case, it still takes the english file)

Aren't you using the wrong directory?
Language files need to be copied to two locations: /administrator/language/nl-NL for the backend and /language/nl-NL for the frontend.
