I have gone through the documentation and uploaded a few photos and I have a question.

I can upload multiple photos to the root of PhocaGallery with no issue. However I cannot seem to upload to a folder within /PhocaGallery by using Create Folder; no folder appears prior to upload in image view.

At the moment I can move the photos to a folder using my web space admin but it seems there must be an option as part of the component. Am I missing something?

To get Joomla to see my photo categories I am using categories as albums and I want the folder structure to match the category list for uploads. I know for uploading and publishing it makes no difference but just want it organised.

Am I missing something?

Apart from that I love Phoca Gallery. I have already bought and not convinced by another elegant solution but the options for customising here are excellent. I am a complete newb to Joomla by the way....well learning fast shall we say!

Hi, do you get some error while creating a folder?

Hi, I have a similar problem.
I want some folders in the uploading view, one would be enough with the once I put online, otherwise it's gonna be difficult with the time to see which are new and so. I'd be also happy if I do not see those who are online anymore. Either way as long as I can somehow organize myself with those who are already on the homepage and the new photos.

No error message appears. I tried to create a new one without uploading photos, nothing happens. If I try to create a folder and upload photos at the same time and I click "create folder" no folder shows up and the photos are gone, so I have to chose them again.

Any ideas?

I think I have a similar problem as bluerover.

When I try to create a folder in the upload window nothing happens, except that the page reloads. It doesn't matter if I try it with or without photos at the same time. No folder and if I try it to upload photos and create a folder a the same time the chosen photos disappear, so I have to chose them again.

I dont need the same structure as in the categories I am happy when I see the difference between the "old" and "new" photos (or if the old photos are not shown at all).

If anyone has an idea what I have to change, thank's a lot.

Hmmm, really no idea what can be wrong there, testing without any problem - created a folder and uploaded images there
