Hi again.

This time I have a different qusetion:

Is there any way to display the comment section and the rating section directly in the category view? I dont want buttons redirecting to the detail view where rating and commenting can happen, I don't want popups / modals.

What I need is a category-image display where people can comment and rate stuff without any of the above.

My 'dream layout' would be like:


If this is doable only by editing the source please point me in the right direction (whic files to edit / combine to achieve this...)

Edit- small update - forgot to mention that the general layout of the category image display is already changed to my liking, what I don't know is how to allow rating and commenting in that view without detail window popups or redirects.

Hi, I am planning to do similar view for detail window - so this should work in nopopup mode too. Still collecting information for this.

this should help.

At this moment I'm resorting to the phoca gallery plugin (blog view, each new image has it's own article) and some third party plugins / modules that allow sharing and commenting of articles - in stead of images themselves.

I, probably, meanwhile am going to use K2 with Phoca plugins, that does work fine, it's just I love the way Phoca Gallery does lightbox with pic+description when hovered over thumbnail in category view, and for the purpose of this site I'm working on, that kind of display is a litle more attractive

thx for the reply but ( though I could have missed something...) I still need to have a popup window. If my idea was to be implemented fully there should be no need for any clicking and popups, as the comments and rating stars would be accessible on page load with all the cagtegory images.

What your link presents is fine, but in order to rate I need to go to detail view which opens in a popup and what I want is to be able to do that directly from the category view.
