Popup box direct from Joomla Menu

Hello,
it was requested from me that I link to a Highslide JS popup directly from the main Joomla menu.
In the website:
http://www.schoenmich.de if you click on Gallery, the 3 sub-items should link directly to a popup box containing the pictures of a Phoca Category. I haven't been able to solve this and looked EVERYWHERE!
Can somebody please help me?

Hi, just enable custom styling - CSS3:

and customize the output of category view (see similar posts in this forum)

Sorry, Jan,
that didn't do the trick for me. What I need is one of the following:
- that the sub link in the Galerie Menu (Hochzeit, Gala, etc.) opens the modal popup box with the according category.
- I can alternatively offer that the link opens a page with a slideshow of the category (easy) but unfortunately I can't link the slideshow directly to the popup box, only to yet another page with the category's images, where he finally can open the popup box. Seeing as the images already get loaded for the slideshow, is there any way to mod the slideshow for it to be a link to the popup box?
Thanks for the quick reply.
Best regards,
Karsten

Hi, menu link in Joomla! is not able to open popup or modal box - to open it, all the javascript libraries needs to be loaded first, but in Joomla! there is no such option for menu links

Hello, Jan,
couldn't reply yesterday because the Forum was offline. I understand that the menus can't link to the popup, but can I make a [fading] slideshow clickable to a popup box instead of to the category?
Regards,
Karsten

Hi, this all depends if the module (if menu or slideshow - does not matter) is able to prepare all the javascritp classes to run the popup
