How to use the image itself?

Hi,
First of all, congratulations on this excelent extension, it's amazing. But, I'm stuck with a doubt.I've tried to find an answer for this question, read a lot of information, searched here and googled, with no luck. To tell you the truth, the search function on the forum is deactivated, at least when I tried the search.
What happens is that I would like to use the Galleries images themselves into the articles, not only a plugin sintax. This is needed due to article's layout format (put the image on the right, left, text distance, etc.) and also because all the extensions that I use to display articles on the front page, need the <href> to show and work with the articles images. For instance: A top Slider that loads the first article image, resize it and put an overlay with the intro text. With only plugins sintax, the module can not work, most of the extensions work like this, as I could see until now.
So, how can I do it? Or Do I have to have a separated directory to the images themselves?
I'd apprecaite some help, I have a deadline and I am affraid that it will not be possible to accomplish it.
Regards.
