Is this a Phoca Gallery install problem, PHP, or what?

I am running Joomla! 1.7 on a Linux server provided by 1and1.com
I have installed com_phocagallery_v3.1.1.zip 1.539KB and get the blue bar that says that it is installed.
I have these warnings in Extension Manager, I don't know if they were present prior to the install.

Code: Select all

PHP temporary directory not set
PHP Upload size bigger than POST size
PHP temporary directory not set
PHP Upload size bigger than POST size
Reading them as warnings gives me impression that they might not be a problem. If they are, I don't know where/how to fix. Since I got the blue bar that says Phoca Gallery is installed I went on assuming that they were just warnings.

When I try the Quick Start sequence:
Component Manager -> Phoca Gallery -> Images
I get this message three times. (I word-wrapped to fit.)

Code: Select all

Warning: mysqli_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in /homepages/37/d92728828/htdocs/rmc4/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysqli.php on line 305
I went to Multiple Add and although I can see folders to select, nothing appears to work this point on. I also note that while I have a SAVE & CLOSE button, I do not have a SAVE button. I have no idea where to go from here.

Other info that may be pertinent:
1) rmc4 is the 'root' folder for the subdomain where I am building the site.
2) 1and1.com puts MySQL databases on a separate machine. Joomla! is otherwise working so I presume that Phoca Gallery is finding the database.

Could you point a neophyte in the right direction? Thanks.

Hi, just enable debug mode to get information about the error in database.

Thank you, the debug pointed to a table naming inconsistency.
