Detailed view and css

Hi,
I want to use the gallery for my mobile version website, and i have categories and subcategories shown OK. But the detailed view is too big. I want to position the "imagebox" to be left, and the box to be no more than 300 px wide....I Can´t use the phocagallery CSS, because i have the gallery in use for my PC version too.
I have tried: position: left and width: 300px. I can see the box moved a little to the left, but not enough...
Any suggestions?
