Lost control items under pictures

Hi there - not sure what I have disabled or hidden, but I no longer have the "next", "previous", etc... options under my picture gallery to move to the next page (there are more photos to view). Please help.

On further investigation, I have found that if I access the gallery through clicking on a category, the pagination does not work - but if I access the gallery through a menu link, it does work. Is this a bug?

Hi, this is Joomla! behaviour. Menu links include settings so while clicking on menu link - these settings are loaded (e.g. pagination), see:
