Thumbnails in GIF and PNG creation problem

Hello,

I come here beacause I haven't found what is exactly the problem and have no more solution.

I just installed Phocagallery on my Joomla website and all seem to work . The only problem is that I can't upload any PNG or GIF image without problem , the JPG work perfectly and the thumbnails are well created.

But when I try to upload a GIF or PNG image, the error is :

Error while Creating Thumbnails (ThumbnailExists)

My joomla version is : 1.5.9
Phoca version is : 2.8.0

I've checked the directory permission : they are on 777

I've Checked the GD library value on my server :

GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
T1Lib Support enabled
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
XBM Support enabled

Does anyone have any idea of solution ?

Thanks

Hi, try to delete all images on your server (include thumbnails) and try to recreate images again.

Hello,

I just tried your advice. I have only one image for test in the directoy.

I have deleted all , uploaded a new image via the backend . There is always the same error

I just come back to you happy !

I have found the problem :

Can you please tell us of what is this option ??

Hi, JFile method from Joomla! framework is used to write files on the server (Joomla! configuration decides which method will be used, if script or ftp)
