Using Phoca Download 1.3.9 on Joomla 1.5.23 I thought I could list files in different catégories but only give download access to few registered users.

Here is what I thought would work:

Code: Select all

Category A:
   Access Level: public
   Upload Rights: -Nobody-
   Access Rights: registered_user_lambda

Code: Select all

Files in category A:
   Access Level: registered
   Display Innaccessible File: yes

Not being logged in I can see my categorie A and all files in that category which is just fine.
When I click the "download" button I'm being asked for my login / pwd which is as expected.
But even if I chose any registered user (and not only registered_user_lambda) I can download the file ???

This was not expected.
I just want to give download access to few registered users not all registered uses.

What did I miss ?
I read the documentation, the forum but could not find (or understand) what was wrong in my configuration.

Any help or link would be appreciated.

I'm going to answer myself since it seems this feature is not avaialble.

You can restrict access to a category but you cannot display files in a catégory and just restrict the download.

So I had to set all my categories access level to "registered" and set access rights to specific users.

Hope it will help others.
