Access level to different groups

Hello,

I'm using Phoca gallery, but I would like to use different groups to give access to the categories. E.g. I want to have group A that has access to categorie 1, group B that has access to category 2 and group C that has access to category 1 and category 2.
How can I do this, I don't want to assign the different users each time to the categories, because every time when I add a user I need to change all my categories. (At this moment I have more then 200 categories, so this will not work.)
I have created different access levels and this works, but I can only assign 1 group to a category and not multiple groups.

Does anyone can help me with this?

regards,
Lien

Hi, since Phoca Gallery 3, you can set different groups for accessing it.

Hi, for now you can only assing one access level. The access field is the same like in Joomla! So this work the same way. You can select one access level in e.g. Phoca Gallery category like you can do it in Joomla! category. In Access level settings you will define which groups belongs to access level.

Hello, thanks for the update. I managed to find a way now indeed by using access levels in combination with groups. It's not ideal, but it works. Luckely I don't need too many different access groups. Thx for the info and I will be glad when joomla adds this functionality with different access levels being assigned to one category.

Lien
