I wanted to put a button on each photo to get a "like" on facebook

Hi, the like button is assigned to whole site, so it cannot be used in category view for more images (as FB identifies it for site not items).
You can use the like button on detail window (if no popup method for detail window will be set in parameters - detail will be not displayed in popup)
