I've tried it with the modal box and the standard box and the result is the same: the image descriptions do not display when viewing the slideshow. The descriptions only show if a single image is selected for viewing.

How do I get it to show the description even while the slideshow is running?

Also: the description causes the navigation to get pushed down halfway below the bottom of the box, no matter how big I set the box height. How do I fix the formatting?

I am using Phoca Gallery 1.8.8 with Firefox 3.0.1.

Hi, while javascript is running no description is displayed (the javascript does not allow it)...

did you change the modal box in parameters component in the menu manager - menu link to gallery?
