Migrate joomla 1.5 to 1.7

I would migrate my site (
www.gte-elicotteri.it) from joomla 1.5.23 to joomla 1.7.
I copied the entire site to a new location (in order to avoid insane experiments) and I upgraded it via jupgrade module.
So, joomla module doesn't exist more, I installed it but the previous photos, galleries there aren't.
Please could you suggest me if there are other forum topics to read or a procedure in order to avoid a complete rebuild of my galleries ?
Some issue on phoca download
Many thanks

Hello,
I tried your guide to migrate phoca gallery from joomla 1.5 to 1.7. The back end seems work but when I try to see the photos through the web site (
http://www.montepaolomar.it/monte/jupgr ... hp/gallery) an error is displaied.
Please could you check ? Or do you need more infos ?
Many thanks

Try to enable debug mode and php error reporting to see what is wrong there

Hmm, try seems to be no error in database, so then try to recreate all the menu links to gallery, if this will not help, try to test all the migration steps (really hard to recognize what went wrong there

)
