Hi,

This appears to be the best photo gallery out for Joomla.

However, I am confused by an issue I am only having with this module. When I go to the gallery I see the Folder. I click to get into the folder and it says: You are not authorized to do this action

The odd thing is that I have it set to 'Public' .

i have the same problem. The error is the result of entering acces rights in the category. But i don't know how i can delete the acces rights.

Well hopefully somebody that knows the solution will answer this soon. I am sure we are not the only users with this issue.

Do you see this in frontend or in backend, by which action?

I have pages with galleries of images. One of the four galleries displays the "You are not authorized to do this action" error instead of the full size image when the thumbnail is clicked. The gallery, the images and the category are all public. How do I fix this bug? Hi, do you use the latest Phoca Gallery version (there was some problem with first 3.0.0 beta version, which then was changed to fit new Joomla! behaviour )

Hmmm, no news - testing on different servers wihtout any such problem so for now cannot see if and where can be the problem. Is your Joomla! correctly installed?

Hi! I had the same problem. Every settings was "public", but I got message "You are not authorized to do this action". Everything worked fine, when I was logged in, but I wanted to show my images public. I thought problem was in the database, so I checked phocagallery_categories table and noticed that "access" value was 1 which means "registered" not 0 which mens "public". Problem solved when you change that value to 0.

So problem is that when you choose "public" value on your image category it seems to be public on frontend but as a matter of fact it is "registered" in database.
