IE8 problem

I've had several users using IE8 experience problems downloading using ie8

Files are above public_html, so absolute path is set
License is used

The web page usually fails to load

Many other users use with no problems. Same users are able to use chrome and firefox with no problems.

Thanks,
Mike

Edit: Temporary workaround is disable site-wide SSL

I use Chrome; However, I can't expect every single user to use Chrome as well. IE8 is currently the most widely used browser on the web.

Found temporary workaround: disable site-wide SSL. Appears to be problem with how IE8 handles files delivered over secure connection: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1038 ... -bit-vista

Just for clarification - still need long-term solution.
