Hi,

I'm using Joomla 1.7.0 and installed quite a few Phoca components, modules and plugins (listed below). The demo and documentation show a very nice map, but I can not find the parameters mentioned, nor is any geo-icon shown on the front end. Is my installation incomplete or is the 1.7 version of the Phoca components handling Google Maps not completed (enough) yet?

Installed Components:
- Phoca Gallery 3.0.2
- Phoca Maps 2.0.1

Installed Plugins:
- Phoca Gallery Plugin 3.0.3
- Phoca Gallery Search Plugin 3.0.1
- Phoca Maps Plugin 2.0.3

(also installed but not IMO relevant Phoca Download 2.1.0 and Phoca Guestbook 2.0.1).

In the Gallery component, I can add Geo Coordinates, Zoom and Name to a location. In the Menu component, the Geo parameters do NOT show up.
In the front-end the geo-icon (globe) does NOT show up.

Any hints, tips, help is appreciated.

What do you mean with Menu component? Please post a screenshot or the URL to see what you mean.

With "Menu component", I mean the Menu Item Settings for the List of Categories menu item type for Phoca Gallery.

Sorry, I logged in as an Administrator, need to be Super Administrator to be able to Configure (as is defined in the Phoca Gallery Options). Now I did find the Phoca Gallery Options that should allow me to enable Geotagging display.

But ... when the Options "modal" pops up, I cannot use the Save nor Save&Close buttons, only the Cancel button. This way I cannot change the required settings the default is No for Display Geotagging (Categories).

Posting a screen shot would only show the default Options as I cannot save the changes, spared the effort.

Hope you can help me change the options.

No, you'll find the buttons shifting slightly from the left to the right, that's it. I tried this in Firefox 6.0.2 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 (also tried it with all Add-On's turned off), in Safari 5.1 on Mac. The 2 buttons Save, Save&Close don't work, Cancel does however.
In Internet Exploder 8.0.6 (VMware XP machine), there are no tabs in the Options menu (tabs: Display, Users, Misc, Main, Permissions) but the 3 buttons (Save, Save&Close, Cancel) all work.

I am having a similar problem. I am using Joomla 1.7 and Phoca 3.0.2. I have read the documentation but there is no 'Parameters Component' on the menu page so I am unable to show the geotagging.

As you were able to save it in WinXP and IE, I think there will be no problem on server side:

So the question is. Do you get the same problem by other extensions in Joomla! (as Options are rendered fully by Joomla! not by Phoca - in fact you click on Options button and you are situated in com_config)
(administrator/index.php?option=com_config&view=component&component=com_phocagallery&path=&tmpl=component)

No sure if you can run e.g. Firebug or Error Javascript Console on Firefox in Mac (I think, this is normal like on Win or Linux) but just try to run it and see if there is no javascript error (there can be a lot of reasons for it - not loaded javascript library, other system plugin javascript library in conflict, wrong ftp transfer of some core javascript library, etc.)

Did we get a solution to this?
I may be stupid, but there is no way to turn on Google Maps in Phoca Gallery on Joomla 1.7?

Using Phoca Gallery 3.1.1 and Joomla 1.7.2
