Hello,

I installed the phocagallery (com_phocagallery_v3.0.2) on a Joomla 1.7 website : http://mairie2.klerin.com/
But, I received no answer; no file was installed.

Then, I transfered manually the files as explained in the documentation.
And I installed the ftp file : com_phocagallery_ftp_install
The installation appears to be OK. A menu was displayed.
But, I have no administration menu to access to the PhocaGallery administration screen. So, I can not configure the product.
Please, can anybody help ?

Hi, what you mean, you got no answer after installation?

Thanks for your answer.
After the first complete installation, I got no answer; that means, the installation screen was displayed with no additional information. Nothing happens. I wait for a few minutes and look at the files; no file was installed.

I searched for a ftp installation file for 1.7. But I did not find this file. The ftp installation files were dowloaded from the following page : https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/1 ... -component . Is thgere another page to download the 1.7 ftp files ?


This morning I tried to install PhocaGallery with the FTP files on another website : http://mairie3.klerin.com.
For the first tentative, I had a white screen.
Then, I retried. The installation failed with a message saying that the administration menus were not created.
I clicked on install and I obtained the following messages :

I am sorry to question you again.
In your replay, you wrote 'the file you have used is for J1.5'.
Could you give me the link to the right file ?
I tried to install Phocagallery on 2 Joomla websites. With no success on the two : the administration menus are not created.

Hi, there is no file for 1.6 or 1.7

The ftp installation should do the trick. The file is located on your server (after copying it) so then, there should not be a time / memory problem while installation.

The system of ftp install file which I made for 1.5 cannot be used in 1.6, 1.7 so there is no file for these systems as components needs to be installed only the way which you can find in Joomla! extension manager

Sorry, I do not see what I must do to install phoca gallery on Joomla 1.7.
I understand the ftp file cannot be used for Joomla 1.7.
So, the only way is to do a complete install ? I tried again this complete install but it fails.
Do you plan to adapt the ftp file system for Joomla 1.7 in the future ?

Hi, no as it is not allowed by Joomla! resp. using the method which was used in 1.5 will remove all the uploaded files by ftp so in fact I cannot build such kind of installation method
