How to reinstall PhocaGallery without recreating databases

I am using Phocagallery 3.0.0 on Joomla 1.6.1 on GoDaddy. Everything was going well until suddenly I am unable to click on the Images button on the Phocagellery component in the Joomla backend. I can select the Phocagallery Control Panel, Categories and other tabs, but not the Images tab. If I click the Images tab, after some wait, I get the following error message:
No data received
Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

I am wondering if perhaps some file in the Phocagallery component has become corrupted. So I want to reinstall Phocagallery in the hope that the problem will get solved. But I already have over 3,000 images on the site so I do not want to lose the information in the mysql database.
What is the best way for me to reinstall Phocagallery without disturbing the database?
