Instructions for a new translation

Hello,
Where can I find detailed instructions to make a new translation for the Phoca Guestbook? (list of files to alter and stuff)
I'm interested in one of the two options: or change the files after installation and add a new (rtl) language, or translate the installation package.
What 's the best way to do it and (in short... or not) what is the process?
Tx :-)
Debi

Hi,
You did not mention which version of Phoca Guestbook you want to translate.
If you mean the joomla 1.6 / 1.7 version see this thread. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=14847 It's a guide for Phoca Gallery translation but the steps for Phoca Guestbook translation are the same.

Kind regards,
Benno

and... another anoying issue... if I may :-)

After installation and creation of a guestbook and proper link and parameters, I get the "The name you have entered contains bad characters" message and can't post anything... I tried everything and couldn't figure out what the problem was!
Is it in the parameters or something else?

Ok! I got it but don't quite understand why this is happening...
one of the caracters I entered in the Title field was a ('), like as part of a sentence... and that's the troublemaker!
"Title" stands for "heading" right? ... not for "Mr, Mrs..." and such?
English is not my mothertongue so I'm a bit confused.
It would help to know it, in order to make sure i got the right meaning in the translation too.

About the translation, thanks for the link, that helped a lot and was fun to learn something new :-)
where must I send the files to? Most of the strings are translated (hebrew), and i'll try to finish it totally in a few days.
Should i send you the temporary HEBREW package or wait untill it's totally finished?

That's right.

Please finish the translation completely, and then send it to Jan as an email attachment.

Kind regards & thanks for your work,
Benno
