Hi there,

I have a serious problem with integrating YouTube-videos into the gallery. The problem exists in all of my joomla installations (j 1.5.23) and the phoca-versions 2.7.8 and even 2.8.0.

I just use the embed code of YouTube and copy it into the input-field. These steps are done correctly according the manual. When I now switch to the frontend it all looks good - first. But by clicking on the thumb of the video only the same thumbnail is shown up in a lightbox. No video is shown.

What am I doing wrong? Has YouTube changed something with the embed-code that doesn't fit to the phoca-code? In former versions everything worked well...

Please help soon! I really like the Phoca-Gallery and I don't want to have to take another component.

thank you, but I think that's what I did.

Thats the code copied from YouTube (right mouseclick on the videoscreen): An image as "filename" is also saved of course. Thats the picture that is shown in the Lightbox instead of the video.

Thats weird. I just see the thumbnail... Do you have an idea what could be wrong? I really have no idea!

Could there be something wrong with the settings? Something with Joomla settings maybe? Do have an idea what could have such an effect on the phoca video-function?

Hi, try to enable debug mode or php error reporting to see, if there is no error while saving the image.

thank you so much for your help. Unfortunatelly I couldn't fix the problem. As I had no time anymore to try, I had to choose a different solution and take another video-component. Thank you again for your posts.

I had the same problem. I changed the type of pop up display.
For example, this probleme is present with shadowbox type or slimbox type or modal box (image only).
But not with Highslide Js or Modal Box which it works perfectly.

I hope this can help some of your visitors and users.
